Can I get vaccinated if I have a current COVID-19 infection?

Anyone currently infected with COVID-19, even those experiencing mild symptoms, should wait to get vaccinated until after their illness has resolved and after they have met the criteria from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to stop isolation. Current evidence suggests that reinfection with the virus that causes COVID-19 is low in the months after initial infection. However, the risk of reinfection may get higher as time passes after infection. For more information on whether or not you should get vaccinated, talk to your healthcare provider.
