How do I prepare for my second vaccination dose?

To prepare for your second vaccine dose, make sure you have your COVID-19 vaccination card handy and take note of any side effects or allergic reactions you had after your first dose. 

If you had an immediate allergic reaction right after receiving the first dose (within four hours after getting vaccinated) or you had a severe allergic reaction, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that you speak to your healthcare provider before getting the second dose.

At your appointment: 

• Bring your COVID-19 vaccination card
• Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth
