What do my antibody results mean and where can I find my results?
Some COVID-19 antibody tests show a value while others do not. If your results do not show a value, it may be because:
- The test you ordered is a qualitative test that can only check for the presence (positive/detected) or absence (negative/not detected) of antibodies, and does not provide the value.
- Or the test that you ordered is a semi-quantitative test and the results were normal (negative). In this case, a value will not be provided. A value is only provided if the test results are positive. Each lab determines its own limits for positive antibody results.
If you have a positive or “high” antibody value, it should not be used to determine your level of immunity. Talk to your healthcare provider for additional guidance on how to interpret your test results.
